Today is my last full day taking care of my shut-in grandmother, which I've been doing since last Wednesday.
Tomorrow, I'll leave here and head straight to the Braves' home opener.
My nine-day itinerary beginning tomorrow:

Upon completion of a multiple drop trip in Charlotte on Tuesday, my return to the terminal involved signing in (which is a driver's verification of being available for duty) and handing over the signed delivery receipts from the trip just completed. After this, I hung around the joint, for what was in excess of 30 minutes without orders for further work. So...not one that lives at the terminal (I own my own home elsewhere), and not having considered to pitch a tent in the employee parking lot, I made the conscious decision to (Gulp!) ...go home.
When I returned to work at the prescribed time of 7:15am, Wednesday morning, I was informed by said Shithead Bossman, that by not pulling another load Tuesday afternoon I had effectively 'quit my job'.

If I had been given instruction to do so, I would have done so without a balk. I gave more than ample time to have been so ordered and again, none was offered...none was given. I was ordered to be escorted out to the dock and remove all of my personal belongings from the BUTT and leave the property.
What an ASS! I'd like to know when things changed to the point that I was my own order giver. I think I'd like to raise my pay and maybe...Oh, increase my vacation time, for a start.

I'd like live music while loading with a dance troupe. On and on.
A formal hearing is to be held today at 1:00pm, with union representation in tow. I can't wait!

I bought tickets to most of these games before we met. I'm going straight to her house after Braves game #2, which is a 1:00 game on Saturday. She is attending Braves games #s 3, 4, 6, and 7 with me. She asked me last night to go to Hawks vs. LeBron.
So, in a word, yes.
