Re: MLB 2011
Hurry, baseball. Please.
6 days until Braves opener, 14 until the first glorious evening at Turner Field. I already have tickets to all three games of the first home series.

This is a sad day for Lavabe, as his all-time favorite Major Leaguer, Mike Hampton, has retired.

"Following the 1999 seasons, the Rockies gave him an eight-year, $121 million contract, at the time, the largest in history. "

Re: MLB 2011
Nate has had a stellar spring and by all accounts is poised to be more the player we thought we were acquiring a year and a half ago. I expect good things from him this season, and if we get them, the Braves' lineup will probably be the best, top-to-bottom, in the National League, in light of the Fillies' spate of injuries and handful of key departures.EarlJam wrote:Nate McLouth?

Re: MLB 2011
He better, or I say we put a clause in his contract that ships him off to Canada to play in a less strategic, less taxing and less entertaining sport like hockey.wilson wrote:Nate has had a stellar spring and by all accounts is poised to be more the player we thought we were acquiring a year and a half ago.
