RIght above the start button is a text box. Simply type in "Word" or "Excel", and you will see the programs and their locations appear above.

I use McAfee - my ISP provides it free. I haver also used Computer Associates (CA) which is more reasonabley priced and pretty good. I, who once promised her first born to Peter Norton, can no longer stand Norton's products as they are too intrusive (imho).

CB &B usually recommends AVG's free version. I'm using it now since my McAfee expired.
