Ah, the French collaborator!

Congrats and thanks for letting us know the player involved!
Thanks, Ozzie! Actually, I was a bit surprised that you didn't guess it based on the name. My French collaborator's name is pretty darn French. :-D
LOL. I kept thinking Brilliant Grad Student. And yeah, her name is pretty darn French!

Sounds like a bad dream, doesn't it? Cue "Hotel California."

Ooo. ooo. I voted in that election! I will totally agree that CA ballots are crazy, but somehow I didn't feel bombarded with mailers, calls, or ads. And one thing I will give CA elections credit for is that I was able to put myself on the permanent absentee ballot list. So I got a ballot for every election and I could fill it out in the quiet of my house in front of my computer. I miss that. As far as I know, not possible in TX.

WRT the California propositions, my rule of thumb was, "If you don't understand what the words mean, vote 'no.'" I voted "no" a lot.

OMG. I voted yesterday afternoon. This morning, I got an email which included the following:
"North Carolina voting records show that you've voted. Thanks so much for casting your ballot early, and helping to move our country forward by participating in this critical election!
Now that you've voted, I'm wondering if you can help make sure as many North Carolinians as possible get to the polls.
. . .
P.S. -- Based on public information from the Secretary of State, we believe you voted early in North Carolina. We apologize if you have received this email in error."
I think they must have gotten their information from the State Board of Elections. The Secretary of State is in charge of elections in other states, but here in NC, it's the SBE.
But beyond that, my goodness! They're scouring the voting records overnight and tailoring their emails to whether we've voted or not.

I did not wait around to find out why he was there. Oh, how I'm hoping that he was in for a DWI or some other alcohol related offense.

I think that's a typo. We were watching Wake Forest watch Clemson run up and down their field at will.

By the way, Clemson's defensive coordinator needs to lay off the crack.

I was watching a bunch of football players dressed up as Tampa Bay Bucaneers put a beat down on the Vikings.

The wind was blowing really hard, and then it got quiet all of a sudden. That makes me nervous.
