Question about over yonder, way back when
Does anyone have a link to the thread from way back when over yonder in which the various OTB posters posted their biographical information in a getting-to-know-you type of post thread?
Thanks in advance for providing me with (a link to) this information.

If you mean it was REALLY old, somebody posted the archives of the OTB from before the change. http://snrub.com/dbr/CathyCA wrote:Does anyone have a link to the thread from way back when over yonder in which the various OTB posters posted their biographical information in a getting-to-know-you type of post thread?

If you mean more modern, I think a bunch of people started doing that several pages into the original LTE to help lengthen it. I didn't realize that was started by BD until I just flipped over to it.

I don't think it's either of those things. I remember a stand-alone thread on the new OTB that fit Cathy's above description, but I don't remember the title of the thread.bjornolf wrote:If you mean it was REALLY old, somebody posted the archives of the OTB from before the change. http://snrub.com/dbr/CathyCA wrote:Does anyone have a link to the thread from way back when over yonder in which the various OTB posters posted their biographical information in a getting-to-know-you type of post thread?

Re: Question about over yonder, way back when
I was trying to find it in the LTE, and I found a post in there where YMO defined "PW" as: "Post Whore...someone who posts somewhat irrelevant and uninteresting info that may or may not be on the topic of the board it has been posted at. This is done to inflate post counts. Of the 800+ posts I have done so far, I would be hard pressed to say that more than 10 had any real substance to them. But man, have I spent a long time posting those 800+ thoughts." It was post 225 on the LTE. Just thought that was a fun nugget.wilson wrote:I don't think it's either of those things. It's not in the LTE. It's a thread of its own.bjornolf wrote:

I heard you. I just thought it was a cool anecdote.
PS- this is # 1600 for me. Speaking of which, DD's lead on me has stretched from 40 to 97 in the last couple weeks. Wow. I am humbled.

Are you looking for info on someone who posts over yonder but has yet to join us here? Or are you looking for info on anyone here. If it is the latter, we could always start a similar thread here.

I wonder if it was called "Who Are You" (not the song) or "Who Am I."wilson wrote:I don't think it's either of those things. Heck, it was up to about 120-130 range until work started this week. I haven't spent very much time here the last 3 days.bjornolf wrote:wilson wrote: It's not in the LTE. It's a thread of its own.
