Re: Duke vs. Carolina
I hate being favored, especially by over 10. Underdog serves us better. At least with Clemson looming, this won't be a trap game. I can't imagine our guys are looking ahead too much to that matchup.
The Heels are dangerous, but I have faith in their QB to cough it up at the most opportune times. I don't want this to be a close game, but I think it will be, and I think DevilDeac better be on standby ready to offer his services often in the fourth quarter.

Jim Sumner Football Notes:

This Daniel Jones comment scares me to death:
An end around is still in play, the jet sweep if we bring the slot guy across in motion or the QB draw, but Carolina has a solid defensive line so I expect them to counter our five wide set with an aggressive blitz package. With our offensive line, Jones might get killed.
If I was Carolina's defensive coordinator, my blitz package would target Left Tackle Christian Harris every time Duke goes five wide.
Zac Roper better have some hot reads built in to the five wide passing attack.

This Daniel Jones comment scares me to death:
I hate those empty sets for two reasons: 1.) The defense is 99% sure you are going to pass. 2.) There is nobody available to pick up a blitz.Jones says Duke’s offense is energized by some of the new stuff it’s put in, especially the empty sets, which have opened up things.

Personally, I would rather see us tighten up the formation with two tight ends and a running back or two running backs and a tight end.

This afternoon I went to IC just to see the bleating after yesterday.
One of the whine and cheese crowd wants to start a GoFundMe account to buy a new victory bell, so they will have one.
