Duke vs. Bye

Post by wolfpackdevil » October 31st, 2017, 11:42 am

Interesting matchup this weekend. Really interested to see if our offense is going to be able to score against the Bye.

I think the defense comes up with a couple big plays and the offense does just enough to get us back on track.

Duke 3
Bye 0

The offensive output sounds about right, but I'll say 6-0 since I have faith that our kicker will make 2 of his three attempts.

Funny stuff, gents. I'm stealing this idea and will give anonymous credit.

I posted a long, rambling post on our offense (lack thereof) over at DBR. I'm not going to repeat the whole thing, but here is a synopsis:

In 8 games (I am intentionally ignoring NCCU game), we have achieved 13 sustained drives which have resulted in 4 TDs and 9 FGs. Our Red Zone offense sucks.

My completely arbitrary definition of "sustained drive" is a drive of at least 10 plays which results in points scored.
