0-3 streak

Post by CameronBornAndBred » January 19th, 2016, 9:35 am

Eek. This is going to continue until we figure out a way to put more people on the court. We are tired and it is showing.
Duke born, Duke bred, cooking on a grill so I'm tailgate fed.

Upcoming opponents are going to throw a lot of zone defense at us. Our offense against a zone stinks. It was evident during the Clemson game. Syracuse pounded home the message last night and the rest of the ACC is paying attention.

But, how many of our opponents will be able to throw a good zone defense at us like Syracuse has practiced/used for years?
[redacted] them and the horses they rode in on.

No other team can play zone as good as Syracuse, and I am not predicting the team is going to fall off a cliff. However, the schedule doesn't get any easier with the next three games on the road, and as CB&B points out, our rotation is painfully thin. With our obvious struggles against a zone, it will be a factor moving forward.

Next up is State. Cat Barber is going to attack the rim and State will throw a zone defense at us. Of course, Coach K and company know this and will prepare for it. They have five days so I expect us to look a lot better.
