Duke is a 2.5 points favorite with the over/under set at 144.5: Duke 74, Gonzaga 71.

What tactics will Coach K employ to handle the Zags big front line? I say we will focus on denying the entry pass by:

1. Pressuring the Zags ball handlers.
2. Using a heavy dose of zone press after made baskets to disrupt the Zags offensive flow.
3. Ride our starters heavy. Barring foul trouble, Coach K will stick to a six man rotation (starters plus Amile Jefferson) with Allen and Plumlee only seeing situational minutes.

Our guards/wings are better than the Zags guards/wings so Coach K will exploit that advantage on defense. On offense, we have the best big man in the country so we will go inside to Okafor and take what Gonzaga gives us. If they execute a double team, kick it out to shooters. If they don't, Okafor will take his man one-on-one. I will not be surprised when Gonzaga's big men pick up fouls trying to guard Okafor in the low post.

As I continue to talk to myself here, this preview from the Gonzaga slipperstillfits.com fansite is pretty good:

Be sure and read the comments below the article which include the obligatory, "Duke gets all the calls."

Really surprised (and deliriously happy) that we won by that many points. Do it again...twice! :happy-bouncyblue: :duke:

I was listening/reading, Bob, but just not replying. Was also on the way back to Raleigh from the NC coast.
