Oh, no! Nt Jameis!

Post by Devil in the Blue Dress » September 17th, 2014, 3:00 pm

Just when the misbehavior of NFL players has about taken over sports news, Jameis Winston catapults himself back into the spotlight by standing on a table in the student union, yelling some sort distasteful stuff about females, supposedly something he found on the Internet. Jimbo says that FL State is "considering" some sort of punishment. Is anything meaningful going to come out of this charade? Probably not. ;;)

They said something on the radio about sitting him for the first half of the next game.

That's true.

The ongoing conversation seems to be about his lack of impulse control and his inability to accept responsibility for his behavior which means that it's not so much the most recent infraction, but the pattern that's the concern. For the head coach to consider some sort of discipline indicates that he sees a problem. Will missing half a game against Clemson create a change of behavior? I'm not optimistic. ;;)

Ha! He'll probably just miss the coin toss.

Now ESPN is reporting that FSU is sitting him the whole game.

I wonder if this means he is out of the running for the Heisman this year.

It's interesting that this came from FSU's President and Athletic Director, not the football coach. :-

We saw a Clemson fan with a sign that said

Jameis apologizes for his selfish act,
Not to be confused with his SHELLFISH act.

#AskJameis has revived. Lots of tweets along the same vein as the sign.

Jameis was suspended for the whole game. Why did he dress with pads and do pregame workouts with the team on Saturday???

Why did FSU athletics administration allow Jameis to be on the playing field? He should of been in the stands, dressed in nice casual sportwear with a jacket, or NOT in the stadium at all. The camera was more on Jameis on the sideline coaching up the backup QB. I heard that Jameis gave a motivational talk at halftime. Unbelievable at FSU.

Based on his facial expression shown on national TV, Jimbo couldn't believe Winston was there in full uniform ready to do warm ups. The picture of him in uniform trotting back up the tunnel to go changes clothes was priceless. ;;)

I agree regarding where he was during the game. Back in his room watching the game on TV would have been appropriate in view of his childlike behaviors and attitude.
