AP Poll

Post by Bob Green » August 17th, 2014, 6:59 pm

Duke is #29 in the first AP Poll of the season:

http://espn.go.com/college-football/rankings/_/poll/1

While I do not believe Carolina deserves to be ranked ahead of us at #23, I opt to keep my Carolina hate in check and ignore them (kinda/sorta). They will quickly fall out of the Top 25 when they lose a couple of games in September. If we go out on the field, and win our four non-conference games as expected, we will head to Miami on Sept. 27 as a Top 25 team.

Carolina Sept Schedule: Liberty (Aug 30), San Diego State, @ East Carolina, @ Clemson. That has 2-2 or 1-3 written all over it.

My attitude at this point is that in a few short weeks, this preseason list will look silly. The overrated teams will be on their bumpy journey and our guys will be solid and on a roll. ;;)

I'm ok with it, we got respect to start the season with 71 points...that is nice. Carolina WILL fold, that is inevitable. :9f:

2 Big Losses for Duke Football, before the season even kicks off.
Kelby Brown last Monday.
Braxton Deaver this Monday.

Mondays are not a good practice day for Duke. :(
