Re: Patrick Mannelly retires
Mannelly, 39, announced his retirement, concluding a distinguished career that includes 245 games and 2,282 plays without a botched snap.
That is amazing. To put things in perspective, his coach at Duke was Fred Goldsmith, the QB on his last team was freshmen Spencer Romine, and Duke coach Scottie Montgomery was still playing as just a sophomore.Only two long snappers in the history of the NFL have appeared in more games. Trey Junkin holds the record with 281 and David Binn played in 256.
Duke born, Duke bred, cooking on a grill so I'm tailgate fed.
