Tour de France 2013

Post by Lavabe » July 5th, 2013, 8:51 am

I am at a loss for figuring out whom to root for in this year's Tour.
1) Wiggins: injured. Not racing.
2) Contador: Racing. Too much doping controversy with him ... at least for me.
3) Getting tired of Cadel.

Not sure what team to pull for.

Yesterday's race was a boring sprint... even with Cavendish falling with 33km to go.
2014, 2011, and 2009 Lemur Loving CTN NASCAR Champ. No lasers were used to win these titles.

After all these years, should I even consider rooting for Andy Schleck? I mean, he's pissed at Radioshack for dropping Frank.
On the Americans, Hincapie and Leipheimer are gone.
I guess Danielson and Tejay have a chance to gain some fans.

Definitely rooting for Jens Voight to win a stage. Would love to see Stuart O'Grady win a stage but not likely to happen but getting to Paris to finish his 17th tour would be fantastic.

Overall - I guess I could root for any of the Garmin boys to win. Wouldn't mind Andy Schleck, either. I think he is better off riding without his brother. I've never been a Contador fan or a Cadel Evans fan - probably due their fans rather than the actual riders.

I thought it was interesting to see the yellow jersey transfer from Gerrans to Impey. He was so overwhelmed to be putting it on - that was fun to watch. First South African to wear yellow.

Maybe I should find a Frenchman to root for - it is about time for them to win again - it has been 41 years.
Life is good!

I'm rooting for Lance. If he's using all these PED's he's accused of, he should still win :D :9f:
