Indy Help

Post by IowaDevil » March 25th, 2013, 9:48 am

Anyone higher than Group 5, not going to Indy, willing to use their higher power to get me a couple tix? I thought I was doing really well and I now am the proud owner of two tix to the pre-game party thinking I'd bought game tix too...Duh! HELP! I don't get a chance to buy game tix til late this afternoon! :(

Broad Ripple is about 5/6 miles from Downtown Indy. Where Butler University is located. We went to church in that area for Easter service, then rode around Butler Campus (takes all of 5 minutes), and then went to the Broad Ripple Village and had a nice Brunch for Easter Sunday, sitting outside in one of the nice and quaint restaurants in Broad Ripple!!!!

Everyone was so nice!!!! Indianapolis and the hospitality we received was so much like the good ole south!!!

St Elmo's is a must!!!!

We went to The Palomino several times for drinks and appetizers; then the Burgers and sandwiches!!! Dick Vitale and Jay Bilas were always there, also; along with many coaches (Final Four 2010). Greg Paulus talked to us several times; as he was networking for a Coaching assistant job and then was an asst coach with Navy.

TASTINGS....... a wine bar!!! We sat outside on the patio that Easter Sunday evening, before going to St Elmos, and then back on Monday afternoon! A great place for a Glass of wine or cocktail and an appetizer!

Buffalo Wild Wings was the Team Bar!!!! It was packed then!!!!

VENTURE to BROAD RIPPLE, and do the 5 minute tour of Butler University, and visit the quaint village of Broad Ripple with their neat shops and eateries.

Happy Easter weekend in Indianapolis!!! Go DUKE!! :happy-bouncyblue: :duke: :duke: :duke: :duke:

Kenny Dennard is doing his pre-game festivities tomorrow at the Wild Beaver Saloon if you'd like to join him. He'll be the tall guy in the Duke blue derby hat.

I love Kenny. We were all so young back in the day. Bud and I hung out at Malena's after the home games. A lot of the team started coming there after the games. What fun we had.

So glad you got to see Kenny. He has joined us at our Tailgates several times. What a great guy!
