Drago and Mason Plumlee

Post by EarlJam » December 3rd, 2012, 12:44 pm

So I was alone at home Saturday night eating nachos and watching Rocky IV (no comment), when I noticed some similarities between Drago and Mason Plumlee. Not a lot, but both tall, strong, blond, and can intimidate. Anyway, just a random observation.

I think just before tip-off of each game, Mason should look the opposing center in the eye, and say in a very monotone voice:

"I must break you."

I think this would be the right thing for Mason Plumlee to do.

I bet Marshall would actually do this, but then he would crack up and destroy the effect.

I'm very interested to see Marshall play. I like the fact he doesn't mind goofing off and being funny and all, but interested to see how it translates to the court. I mean, the court COULD be the place he gets at his nastiest, - a place where all his frustration and "bad stuff" off his back - and I hope so!
Maybe he's a "nasty" practical joker - like Laettner was. Just a random thing here, but remember in "The Last Greatest Game" how Laetter, upon seeing Bobby and Danny Hurley at the Duke cafeteria just looked through Danny and said, "What the F*CK are YOU doing here!?" Or something like that.

I guess what I'm hoping is that Marshall isn't TOO laid back, like a Cherokee Parks type. I have no idea. I don't think a over extroverted sense of humor has to translate to the court too much - unless it does in a cunning way, like Nolan Smith's or Sniglers' (Mr. Titty Twister). If it did, that would be great!
