Nine nominations for Best Picture this year?
I sort of wish they'd go back to fewer Oscar nominations for this category.

Re: Oscars 2012
Two comments: first, it's bizarre to see Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids) in the same category as Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer (The Help). All were stellar, but the movies are so very different. Second, did "The Help" direct itself? Tate Taylor was robbed IMO.Lavabe wrote:Nine nominations for Best Picture this year?

Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.

I wish the Oscars would have catergories like the Golden Globes!
Bridesmaids and The Help were both great movies with wonderful actors and great screenplays! Both of different genres, and I think in different catergories.
