Re: RIP Dandy Don
I was sorry to hear this. I didn't remember him as a player, but I watched a lot of Monday Night Football growing up, and I thought he was funny. I remember the Lipton tea ads, too.
RIP.
RIP.

Toasting Dandy Don's memory with a glass of sweet Lipton tea. . .

Yet another voice from the soundtrack of my youth silenced...RIP Dandy Dan...raising a glass of Lipton Tea in your honor!

Dandy Don helped make MNF what it is today. Did they do anything last night to honor him?

That's probably the best description of him.Miles wrote:They did. I don't remember him, but he seemed like lovable guy.Lavabe wrote:Dandy Don helped make MNF what it is today. Did they do anything last night to honor him?
RIP Mr. Meredith.
The contrast between Meredith and Cosell really made MNF the franchise that it still is.
