Got to give kudos here. Growing up, it seemed that there would be two-three major aviation disasters a year. You could almost count on it (and NO, I don't wish it and I'm NOT trying to make light of it. I have always loved aviation though).
Anyone got any stats or insight here? I'm talking large commercial jets here. The last crash in the U.S. that I can remember was in Kentucky. It took off at pre-dawn on the wrong runway. It wasn't meant for commercial jets.
Anyway, the aviation industry certainly deserves the highest of praise.
