Recruiting: Class of 2011

Post by Jesus_hurley » October 1st, 2010, 10:57 am

So next years recruiting class is almost complete.

We have the following already committed:
Austin Rivers: Guard. 6'4", 175. Ranked #3 in the class, #1 SG
Mike Gbinjie: Small Forward. 6'6", 180. Ranked #21 in the class, #5 at his position
Tyler Adams: PF/Center. 6'9", 255.
Marshall Plumlee: PF/Center. 7'0", 215

Offers out:
Quinn Cook: PG, from the DC area. He's ranked in the top 20 for the class of 2011 and would be a solid player. He will be coming to CTC later this month for his official visit.
Quincy Miller: SF. He's in the top 5 of the 2011 class and would be an immediate impact player. He will be coming to CTC later this month for his official visit. While some have commented on his attitude and drive, a year or two under Coach K would take care of any issues like that .

It's very possible we could have the 2011 class wrapped up by the signing period in November.

Looks like AR, MG and MP3 need to spend a bit of time in the weight room and TA needs to spend a little time on the soon-to-be-removed-track at WW. :D
[redacted] them and the horses they rode in on.

I believe Quinn Cook will ultimately be a Blue Devil. Quincy Miller will probably go to Louisville or Baylor. Cook is a solid point guard who really played great this past summer on the Gold Medal winning USA U17 team where he started every game and averaged 7.5 points and 7.4 assists per game:

Quincy to Baylor seems to be the flavor of the week. Then again, it seems like there is always a rumor surrounding Quincy and his most recent visits. I think he'll hold off till the spring to announce.

I'd love to have Cook. Odds are he'll be a 4 year player who can provide stability at the most important spot on the floor.
