Colchar's Avatar - Keep or Kill?

I was on another forum and recently and thought I saw a bug on my screen so I went to swat it away before realizing that it was someone's avatar. After that, I thought it was hilarious and figured it might trick a couple of people here so I copied it and am now using it. But today Tilly decided to add me as a foe (maybe that means she can't see my posts or something?) because she hates bugs, and subsequently my avatar, that much.

Because of that I decided to start a poll (I'm channeling my inner EarlJam) to let the rest of you decide whether I should keep it or not. It is all up to the rest of you - if you vote that I keep it for a while I will but, if you vote that I get rid of it, I'll change it. So - keep it or kill it?

I voted "keep" before reading the thread. I certainly wouldn't want Tilly to be uncomfortable.

Tilly can be a bit of a bugaphobe most of the time and I understand why the bug bugged her so.
I thought it was cool and wanted to either copy ya or do it even better, for the record, Colchar. But then I reconsidered for obvious reasons! lol

I'm not bothered by it, but I can certainly understand how it could freak Tilly and others out.

Now if colchar had a snake as an avatar, I would be breaking my laptop screen.

Under the User Control Panel, go to Board Preferences, Edit Display Options, and turn off "Display Avatars".

Every now and again, I turn avatars back on, but it takes about a minute before I am reminded that I find them super distracting.
