The trailer looks so good (although that might be because it features one of my all time favorite songs) and I can see this becoming a huge counter culture movie. The "fakeness" of the monsters (I know, that's redundant, but I mean that they actually look like people in costumes as opposed to what monsters might look like) gives off an eerie-psychedelic feel.
Is anyone else as excited...

I'm looking forward to it, the trailer looks great. I hope they do it right, countless kids grew up with that story. The other Sendak tale I'd like to see them do as a movie is The Night Kitchen.
