I heartily commend you. I am convinced that, aside from being more fun and making you more aware of your car's workings, manual transmission driving is safer, as it requires more constant engagement with your vehicle than an automatic.

Cool! Is she cursed and come with an undead monkey standard? :ar! 8-x :(|)

Sorry to bring it back to this, but I just had to bring up one of my favorite scenes from the PotC series. It's when they go to meet Tia Dalma in her voodoo hut. They want to trade her, and she says that they have nothing that she'd be interested in. Cap'n Jack Sparrow produces the monkey, says "Look, an undead monkey. Top that!" and proceeds to shoot the monkey in the head. It then hops up and screams at him and the woman agrees to take the monkey in trade. I always thought that was hysterical. Sorry, I loved those movies, and I'm not even a JD fan. I'm not a fan of people that say they're going to "move to Paris" if the candidate they don't like gets elected. If your love for America is that conditional, I say good riddance. I'll give him credit, though, he actually followed through on it. Unlike that schmoe, Alec Baldwin.

I LOVED the PotC movies, though I did think they got a little off the mark in the middle somewhere. I liked the way it got better at the end. I think the middle movie was just kind of bad filler between the other two. It was necessary to advance the plot, but I thought it could have been done better. My favorite pirate related movies as a kid were Muppet Treasure Island, Peter Pan, Treasure Island and 20000 Leagues under the Sea. Then I found Goonies. Then later I fell in love with Princess Bride. I even sat through Cutthroat Island, thought I wasn't a big fan. It had some good moments, though. I liked Master & Commander quite a bit. I was NOT a fan of Treasure Planet really, or Six Days, Seven Nights.

I've been in a semi-professional production of HMS Pinafore.

Anyway, sorry, didn't mean to get off topic there. Love the new car, Tilly. And sorry for the confusing reference. I just figured that since you named it "Black Pearl", you were thinking about the movie when you did so. My bad. ;)

That's fine and all but seriously, she loves to feel the power in her hands.

Um, dude, I am TOTALLY gonna close my eyes, take a deep breath... and let that easy setup go. Then I'm gonna re-read that in the cleanest possible way. ;)

And it's okay, Tilly, you're not a guy. You wouldn't understand. And that's a very good thing.
