Proposal: Could we endeavor for the shorthand for DukieInKansas' handle to be DinK? "DiK" and "DIK" are, to me, rather...um...unfortunate constructions.

I could see how it could be interpreted as calling the poster immature or unqualified or saying that you were above reproach or criticsm, but hey, I'm on your side here. I think the poster deserved to be "blasted."

Although I don't have a double income - except the few times a year I housesit, I satisfy the no kids part so let's go with DinK. I'm with Wilson on the DiK.

Hey all. While I agree that DiK and DIK have unfortunate connotations, so does DinK. A dink is kind of a put down to people you hold in low regard. Common usage "You're such a dink." So, it's not exactly complimentary either, but if DinK likes it then I guess it must be okay. BTW, it can also mean "Dual Income No Kids" when talking about married couples with no children where both spouses work.

Colchar, don't feel too bad about not knowing pwn. I believe it's mostly used amongst video gaming circles, like if you get blown out in Madden by 40 online, your opponent could say they "pwned" you. It means "perfectly owned", just so you know. The original expression was "I own you." "Pwn" is the next level up. You can still "own" somebody by beating them soundly. "Pwning" is just embarrassingly DESTROYING them. Just so you know. ;)

I must confess that I have never seen an entire James Bond movie - but I'll have to check out Goldfinger since his masseuse was named Dink.
