H and V have been spoken for OY. Breweries have not been names, but it is possible that the poster just opened up the fridge and picked the first two cans / bottles they found.
Don't want to speak for ACCfan but I'm pretty sure he's got tabs on Hardywood and The Veil. His two faves.

There are 2 "V"s available in the official Scrabble game tiles. I'm pretty sure you could find another "V" brewery in your area...

So, being the nut that I am...
I am looking at this more from the Scrabble perspective.
A Scrabble "Hand" is 7 letters,
What's a great word that I could put together with 7 letters and score a lot of points (without the availability of Double/Triple letter/word)
So I came up with my word and my beers that I'm going to work on getting/drinking by the 14th...

O - O'connor Brewery - Maybe their O'Ctoberfest or a good 'ol El Guapo IPA
X - Ardent Brewery makes an IPA simply named "X"
I - Isley Brewery - Been a while since I've been up there, time to re-visit
D - Dogfish - Love my Seaquench but thought I'd try one of their others that I may not have had yet. Or possibly, there is a new brewery in town that
just opened called Dogtown Brewing. Maybe I'll see what they got?
I - Intermission Beer - Local place that brews some pretty good stuff, near Isley so 2 birds/1 stone kinda thinking.
Z - Legend Brewery brews a Blonde that is simply called "Z-Dam" (Named after a famous portage on the James here in RVA)
E - If I can sneak a growler up to Extra Billy's Brewery here in Midlothian, that'll do it. If not, I know that Elysian will have a couple good IPAs at Total
Willaim/Tripping Wine

Yes/No? Am I too much of a Scrabble Nerd? What do ya think? 26 points?

And no, I'm not trying to steal letters from anybody, feel free to also use any of those that I'm working on!!!

That sounds good to me. Fits better with the Scrabble scoring idea.

If we are spelling words, does profanity count?

Keep an eye on devildeac, he may try for extra credit on So Happens Its Tuesday, or For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge.

Gonna try to rep my favorite Georgia breweries:

Creature Comforts (Athens)
Reformation (Woodstock)
Orpheus (next to Piedmont Park, ATL)
Wild Leap (my favorite — all the way down in La Grange)
Savannah River Brewing (about a mile from my office)

And, I’ll be eating lots of crows if the election goes wrong. Plus sending RJ199 a few pies!

A bit earlier this month due to travel plans, but here we go...

November Virtual Pub
11/14

Theme:
A Brewery Cornucopia

AKA "The ABCs of Beer"

We've got lots to be thankful for this holiday season, including the wide assortment of craft breweries and styles available today.
Let's celebrate that variety with a bit of a challenge - a brewery pangram.

The goal is to collectively assemble a selection of beers from breweries whose names start with each letter of the alphabet.
If the brewery or style means something to you, even better. Fun beer names encouraged. We can vote/argue about the best one at the VP.

Points will be awarded based on the Scrabble value of each letter. Duplicates are okay, but we can't declare a winner unless we cover the entire alphabet. If any letter becomes elusive for a brewery, we can substitute a beer name if we have to.

Let me know if you want to claim a letter and I'll keep track of what is needed.

:batmandeploy:
Fabulous idea. Thanks for volunteering.

I'll take Z to start. Do you need to know the brewery and beer name in advance?
Please mark me down for "W" in addition to my "Z". Thanks!

Here is where we stand on letters.

Taken:
A, C, D, E, F, H, I, O, R, S, V, W, X, Z

No love yet:
B, G, J, K, L, M, N, P, Q, T, U, Y

Over half way there. I'm gonna try and form a word with some of the remaining letters, but will have to see what I can find on the shelf later this week. My original plan of CROWLER or GROWLER has too many duplicates.

Pondering G, N and U, depending on availability of a couple/three beers tomorrow night on tap/in house at Bottle Rev on the patio with beer and pizza and then a Total Wine expedition on Wednesday. ;)

Hopefully making my rounds after work today. If I see something that will give some love, I'll let you know. I've got some letters to drink before Saturday...

I've got "N" covered now and might sip a second "N" tomorrow night. Couldn't find my first choice for "U." Will look again tomorrow.

Finally made it out to pick up some letters. Grabbed B, G, K, L, M, P, and T to go along with the E I already had. Many local, all Texan. Except for K, all are either "new to me" breweries or brews.

I never got any feedback one way or the other, so lets go with 4:30 PM EST.

Thanks for setting it up!

Oops. I'm good with 430 EST, too. I'll not be imbibing as I'm on call but will have some reports from earlier in the week.
