Welcome to allen plus Vibes!

Re: Welcome to allen plus Vibes!
The interview went as well as I could have hoped. I felt like I really "hit it of" with the team (four folks) who led the interview. I knew going in from a friend who already works there that they were much more concerend with bulding a good team than with my actual qualifications (I've done pretty much the exact same job before, and did it well enough that there were really not any questions about my ability to handle the nuts and bolts of the position).
I probably won't hear anything for a week to ten days (so slowly moves the sttae/county government machine).

Not sure what took me so long, but I feel like I'm back home. Sort of like Ricky Ricardo walking in the door and saying, "Luuuuuuucy, I'm hoooome"

Triple vibes? Can there be such a thing?
I was just called in for a second interview with my potential boss's boss. I take that to be a good sign. What really stinks is that the interview will be at the same time my son will be playing for the state Little League championship (assuming they make it to the championship game - they will have to win on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday in order to do so).
So, I need good vibes for interview #2, good vibes for Dan's Little League team, and vibes that it rains on Thursday July 22, thereby postponing the championship game until Friday July 23 so I can get back to Waynesville in time to join my wife and my older son (some guy some of you know as wolfpackdevil) as we watch Dan win the state championship.

Rain vibes!
P.S. Having lived there for a number of years, the chance of rain any given day is pretty good. When I was there, I was a carpenter, and we could always count on summer storms to shorten our work days.

Big time vibes that everything falls into place...the interview goes perfectly, and the weather allows you to watch your son's team win the state title!

We'll leave for Waynesville about noon today. Our first game is at 2:30 tomorrow. At this point either my priorities are completely in order or completely out of whack - I'm not sure which. A friend asked me the other night if I could only have one wish which would it be, the job or the State Little League Championship for Dan. I didn't even hesitate. I can alwasy learn to say, "Welcome to Wal-mart"

Hope the team wins, then it rains, then you get the job, then it stops raining and the team wins its way to the State Championship!

Have fun in Waynesville. It's beautiful up there. I used to go up to Lake Junaluska in the summers. It's near Waynesville, and it's gorgeous.allen wrote:We'll leave for Waynesville about noon today.
