I was so tired when I returned from the beach that I failed to say "good night" last night.
Good night!

Re: The Official "Good Night" Thread
I'm back. Should have been home shortly after 8 pm, but there was bad traffic at both ends of Georgia, extending several miles. My brand new GPS crapped out just as I got to Jacksonville, so I knew there was traffic ahead, but couldn't detour around it. Mrs. Ozzie played GPS for me ;) and we decided that when I got to Savannah I should take I-16 into Savannah and then 17 north to Hardeeville (mile marker 5 in SC). As the traffic was still backed up there, for about another 10 miles, I ended up taking 321 to 336, through some small town, and then joined back onto I-95 at mile marker 18, just north of all the traffic! It had been a while since I'd been on those 2-lane, moss-covered-oak tree lined roads. Very pretty detour. Of course, it added almost 2 hours to the trip. It would have been somewhat easier if my Garmin hadn't quit.
I got the new Garmin last Monday, at Costco, when I returned my 2 year old unit because the power cord had developed an intermittent open contact problem and the GPS wouldn't stay on as the cord moved. Yes, they took it back with no questions and a smile, refunding my credit card for the original purchase price including tax! I got the model 2460LMT, and it had some cool new features on the display and more detail on the traffic. LMT stands for Lifetime Maps (new maps downloaded from their web site) and Traffic (reporting service) at no charge. I get 4 new maps a year. As mentioned, just as I got onto the eastern bypass (9A) around Jacksonville, the map disappeared from the display. The car icon and other info was there, but the map picture was gone. I figured the unit froze or something, so I unplugged it to reboot it, but when I plugged it back in ... nothing happened. The unit would not turn back on - dead as a door nail. The red LED on the power cord was on, so there was power available, and it wouldn't even start on its battery when I pushed the "on" button. It goes back to Costco in Raleigh tomorrow for exchange.

I'm crashing. Must get out of the blocks early in the AM to finish getting the OP ready and onto his flight to India.I hope he doesn't come back feet first. He's got to stop this foolishness. Vibes for his strength and safety while he's gone will be welcome.
G'nite.
