We also watched a flippin' ton of 'The Golden Girls' (seriously).
Yes, we really did. If you look on my Facebook profile, you'll see that it's listed among my favorite television shows (and it was there long before this month).TillyGalore wrote:
Did you really watch Golden Girls? I <3 The Golden Girls.
I watch TGG every night. Even though I'm sure I've seen every episode, I love watching them again.wilson wrote:Yes, we really did. If you look on my Facebook profile, you'll see that it's listed among my favorite television shows (and it was there long before this month).TillyGalore wrote:

There is no other show that consistently makes me laugh out loud as much as 'The Golden Girls'. 'The Cosby Show' probably comes closest, but it has a lot more "dud" episodes than 'The Golden Girls'.
So does this mean we get to have a Golden Girls party if/when I crash on your couch next month?TillyGalore wrote:I watch TGG every night. That's all you're getting.
I was thinking the same thing, but was trying so hard to keep my mouth shut.colchar wrote:wilson wrote: She lives in Charleston, but is moving at the end of this week. I did not meet her here. I cooked steak that night, but have cooked no fewer than 10 meals for her this month.

How many of those meals were breakfasts? Those are far more important than dinners.
It depends on whether he called her or nudged her when it was time to eat breakfast...bjornolf wrote:I was thinking the same thing, but was trying so hard to keep my mouth shut.colchar wrote:wilson wrote: She lives in Charleston, but is moving at the end of this week. There are, and I'll definitely do some of that. There are also some things available on microfilm that I can look over at Emory. Plus, I have a whole cataloging of the 18th-century Charleston newspaper (the South Carolina Gazette) to complete, and we have every issue of that on microfilm at Emory. Being back in Atlanta won't keep me from being quite productive.CathyCA wrote:Wilson, are any of the documents you need to examine located online? Coordinating with my brother on getting furniture out of here, getting into the storage unit, etc. just wasn't going to happen.
It really cuts my research time in Columbia more than I'd like, but this way, my time there will be more focused. I'll also be able to really enjoy my birthday weekend, as opposed to having to spend a good chunk of it moving.
In the end, losing another couple of days of research kind of sucks, but in the long run, it won't be that different. I know I'll have to go back anyway, and it'll still be plenty of time to get there and start cataloging the things I need.
