I remember when Earl Morrall QB'd the Dolphins. In fact, he subbed about half the season for Bob Griese when he broke his leg. He only gave back the starting job for the AFC Championship. Oh, BTW, that was "The Perfect Season"! 17-0 baby! Still hasn't been duplicated, although I sure thought the Pats were going to a couple of seasons ago.

Yea, they kind of suck down as they bake. You need to make like a MOUND of apples. Put in almost twice as much as you THINK it needs, and you'll be fine. That's the one tough part about apple pies... getting in enough apples.

I love mushrooms. When I went to Wal-Mart in Shen Zhen I was flabbergasted at the diverse population of mushrooms they had in the store. Their mushroom aisle was about the size of one of our potato chip/snack aisles, with as many varieties. I had a mushroom and beef tongue stew while I was there; not sure what the mushrooms were but they were much better than the tongue.

When I lived in the mountains my neighbors would harvest them, they called them may fries. I never had them. They also collected wild ginseng and sold it for over $300/oz. And then there are ramps...a wild onion. Very tasty..but potent. You know if someone has eaten ramps by the odor.. :|

My mom just called me and asked if I could get 2 tickets to the Radford basketball game. As it turns out, she and I will be in Raleigh/Durham all day (Thanksgiving Kid Switch, Part I), and she's figured out that the game is happening between Christian's departure (6:15 a.m.) and Sam's arrival (7:55 p.m.).

If you guys know of any extra tickets and would like to let two old alumnae attend a game in Cameron Indoor Stadium, let me know.

I bought one of those Portable Steam Pocket Sharks (as seen on a TV infomercial). Here's my first report:

The first run with the Portable Steam Pocket is a success! We have 3 very clean, sanitized sinks, sink counters and toilets (not in the bowl since it is full of water, and no, I don't want to flush it with the water off to get it empty), and two very clean bathtubs! I think this thing is a keeper!

The entire outside of the toilet bowl is so clean that hugging the porcelain god :ymsick: :ymsick: would not be the gross activity that it would normally be considered, other than NEEDING to hug the porcelain god. :ymsick: =)) =)) =))
