Unless the water temperature is 80 degrees, it's not a good beach.colchar wrote:CathyCA wrote:colchar wrote:

We do have four seasons up here. Winter is cold, spring is mixed, summer is hot, fall is mixed (we're actually having a cold one this year). There are plenty of summer days that are 90+ degrees.

Wha?!??! 30 Rock is on!!! How can you call that "nothing good"?wilson wrote:Too many books. Nothing good on TV. Movie night?
But then, I LOVE any show with witty, fast-paced-dialog - Aaron Sorkin's Sports Night, M*A*S*H being a couple other shining examples. Glee is shoe-horning into this category too. I was laughing out loud at last night's show.

Re: LTE 2.0
Glad things went as expected, CellR.
15 meetings seems pretty extreme (then again, this judge/county system seems pretty strict) but I've always found I've learned something at AA meetings about the disease of alcoholism, and/or what havoc it can wreak on a person. That's probably what the court wants - for the person to get an up-close-and-personal view of what damage alcohol can do. It's always better to learn from someone else's mistakes whenever possible.
CellR, not that you need to know it now, but there's probably an AA meeting within 30 miles of your house, every night of the week, plus nearly every morning. You'll find mom's meetings, dad's meetings, teen's meetings, etc. You'd probably need to start at an open meeting.

and the open meetings in Winston-Salem are here: http://www.w-saa.org/new_schedule/open_meetings.html
I've been to a few AA meetings, and I'm not an alcoholic. Depending on the meeting, it's not at all uncommon for folks, including kids/teens, to be there under court order. There's a whole rigamarole at the end to get everyone's 'card' signed.CameronBornAndBred wrote:I would have gone to the two classes, the AA meetings would have been a bit strange being that you aren't an alcoholic. I don't agree with that being an option.
