His birthday was actually yesterday, March 9, but today is our first opportunity to get together (we've been working on it all week).wilson wrote:This uncle is my mom's younger brother.wilson wrote:...birthday lunch with my uncle (his birthday, not mine).

Interestingly, March 9 is both of my mother's brothers' birthday. One was born on the other's 16th birthday (the younger one is the one I'm really close with). Mom is smack in the middle, 8 years younger than the one and 8 years older than the other.wilson wrote:His birthday was actually yesterday, March 9...wilson wrote:This uncle is my mom's younger brother.wilson wrote:...birthday lunch with my uncle (his birthday, not mine).

My dad and his brother lacked one month of being 17 years apart, with no siblings between.wilson wrote:Interestingly, March 9 is both of my mother's brothers' birthday. I already sent her hugs on Facebook, but there aren't any decent smilies there.

Thank you, on behalf of MyMama.
Christian and I took her to A Tavola, a cute little Italian restaurant around the corner from my office. We gave her a necklace.
She's had a big day. Miss Fran and some friends came from Raleigh and took Mom out to lunch at Rucker John's. All of her grandbabies have called her and serenaded her with "Happy Birthday to You Cha Cha Cha," and she's enjoyed reading all of her cards and opening her gifts. I showed her my FB page with all of the birthday wishes on it. She is one happy birthday gal.
