Anybody Know How Public Schools "work" here?

I'm looking to learn how book purchasing for textbooks and such "work" in the public school system. If you know this stuff, perhaps a ten minute phone informational interview?

Oh, and if anyone here has any school contacts that they know will be ordering a ton of books, feel free to point them to me, EarlJam. I'll give them a 20 percent discount and will be good to them.

Got a sales number I need to reach by May 1. This will help determine if the job is phased out then.
