Well, she's had no adventures, hence her absence. But she certainly came back out of nowhere with a vengeance today.

I'm terribly confused.DukieInKansas wrote:About time she showed up! Please ask her to post about her adventures during her absence.Sue71 wrote:Roxie is my Ezmarelda (sp?).OZZIE4DUKE wrote: Roxie? Who's Roxie?
*burp* What? Between all the ESPN and scratching myself, I didn't quite catch what you said. Could you pass the chips?bjornolf wrote:Maybe this is one of those "women" things we're just better off not knowing about, Wilson. ;)
Well played. However, I don't buy it from you.wilson wrote:*burp* What? Between all the ESPN and scratching myself, I didn't quite catch what you said. Could you pass the chips?bjornolf wrote:Maybe this is one of those "women" things we're just better off not knowing about, Wilson. ;)
I am honestly in the dark as to what you're talking about. And believe it or not, I really am eating chips and watching ESPN right now. And yes, I have scratched myself some today. I also haven't showered.Sue71 wrote:Well played. However, I don't buy it from you.wilson wrote:*burp* What? Between all the ESPN and scratching myself, I didn't quite catch what you said. This is what I get for not spending much time here yesterday. OTOH, it's kinda nice to read through 4 pages of the LTE and PW like crazie(talk) for an hour or so. .TillyGalore wrote:PAGING DEVILDEAC
My sister sent the below to me in one of those pass it on emails. Any truth to what she shared? I am particularly concerned about the part that states "there may be no pain in the chest during a heart attack." I've always heard the opposite.
About Heart Attacks
There are other symptoms of an heart attack besides the pain on the left arm.
One must also be aware of an intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating, however these symptoms may also occur less frequently.
Note: There may be no pain in the chest during a heart attack.
The majority of people (about 60%) who had an heart attack during their sleep, did not wake up. However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep.
If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins in your mouth and swallow them with a bit of water.
Immediately Afterwards
- phone 911, a neighbor or a family member who lives very close by
- say "heart attack!"
- say that you have taken 2 aspirins.
- take a seat on a chair or sofa near the front door, and wait for their arrival and...

Are you going to meet us in NOVA for a monster corned beef and/or pastrami sammich? That would be cool.YmoBeThere wrote:As of tomorrow, I will have my new car. A road trip is definitely in order.
This was kinda cool when we visited/met my brother in central Oregon several years ago. Light till nearly 10 PM but the damned sunrises before 5 AM really freaked us out and we couldn't get back to sleep very well.DevilAlumna wrote:I love this time of year, when the sun sets so late. Up here in Seattle, it didn't get dark until nearly 10PM tonight.
What do you folks do with the extra daylight - anything special?
I have a hard time sitting still and watching TV or being on the computer, so worked late (the daylight throws off my bodyclock, thinks it's only 5:30 when it's closer to 7), then went for a long walk after dinner. Still had an hour of daylight left!
Of course, it sucks 6 months from now, when it's pitch dark by 5:00PM, but I won't think about that just yet.
Ah! Silly me, how could I forget? What prompted her welcome return?Sue71 wrote:Roxie is my Ezmarelda (sp?).OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Roxie? Who's Roxie?Sue71 wrote:OMG OMG OMG Roxie is back!
After months on hiatus, she's back. As much as I'm smiling right now (and probably will be for the rest of the day), I'm not quite sure how to feel about this.
Agreed. We went last year for our 30th anniversary and seeing the sunset from the front of the cruise ship at almost 11 PM was fabulous.bjornolf wrote:OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Alaska - the land of the midnight sun. Cruises to Alaska are AMAZING. I went back between my 8th and 9th grade years. Totally worth it!
And foul-smelling, too.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Something about being as sticky as shit.Bostondevil wrote:Can you tell us the one about the Tarheels?

I've hit a skid the last day or so. I tend to take my lumps in bursts. Shamm beat me a couple of times too.Sue71 wrote:I beat Wilson in a game of Scrabble today. Sorry, just need to gloat for a minute since it will probably never happen again. Thank you.
