Andre. His play in the second half was a real spark.

Dre gave the team the spirit they were missing.

I understand the selection of Dawkins. I voted however, in the direction based on the equally important rebounding effort by Mason. Coming off the loss to FS, a bunch that has proven itself in board play, it is vital that consistent improvement is needed in this area for the good of the team throughout the remainder of the schedule.

Perfectly legitimate reasoning, Capt. If someone could only teach him that a rebound does not require a dribble before the next shot. Of course, it took Zoubs about 3 1/2 years to figure this out.

HAHA...I was telling Kewlswim the exact same thing in Section 21 last night.

My initial instinct was to vote for Mason and his rebounding. However, Andre Dawkins got my vote because he really seemed to start the game-winning run.

I couldn't argue with you or the capt for a vote for Mason either. 16 rebounds is a lotta dirty work.

Well, oddly I voted for Nolan. I know this is supposed to be a poll for the guy who contributed most that doesn't show in the stats. But honestly, I don't think the stats on paper --- as great as they look --- could possibly measure up to what Nolan has been giving us all on and off the floor . Bless that boy's heart!!!!

I also voted for Dawkins. His 3-pointers in the 2nd half were daggers into Virginia's heart. Dawkins is our third leading scorer at 11.7 points per game. I'd like to see him up his scoring to 15 or 16 points a game. We need Smith Singler and Dawkins all scoring 15+ points each game. With Dawkins scoring, our opponents are prevented from concentrating on Smith and Singler.

And scoring, not just hitting the 3, is even more needed.

Which is what happened during the JJ and Shelden years and we see how far we went then. I'd love to see Dawkins AND Curry begin scoring 10-12 PPG each or more like Bob said so it opens up the floor for Kyle and Nolan. Hell, if that occurred, we'd likely see Mason's and Ryan's PPG increase, too.

I voted for Andre. It was tough between him and Mason, but the thing that put Andre over the top for me was him urging the crazies after making big shots.

After watching the Duke Hoop interview, it's clear that it was Kyle who got the engines revved at half time in the locker room. He's a man of few words, but when he speaks everybody seems to listen. Locker room speeches don't show up in stats.
