The low voltage wiring folks that wired my house stuck a 4 Port 10/100 DSL Cable Router MDENR100 in the patch panel in my basement. I'm using FIOS, but the guy told me I could hook up a laptop from the LAN port of the computer to the WAN of the Router and turn it into a switch/hub and get 3 extra hot drops by turning off the DHCP on the Router and turning it into a switch. Problem is, when I do that, I can't seem to get the other ROUTER to show up in my network connections. I'm running Windows 7. Any idea how I access it?
Thanks.
