Did you get a home owner's warranty when you bought the house?
I did, but I didn't renew it. I'm not interested in 8 service calls until I get the stupid furnace replaced. I've placed a call to a local HVAC contractor, and I'm prepared to buy a new system. Today, hopefully.
I hope he can get you all fixed up today.

B is trying his hand at duck today for lunch. He's currently sewing the cavity shut with dental floss and a bamboo skewer.

Merlin is excited; the rest of us are more apprehensive.

It won't be cheap but be sure to ask about energy tax credits that may expire by 12/31/10 on high efficiency units. I'd bet Ozzie has better info/advice than that.

B's duck turned out rather good, after all. He stuffed the cavity with celery and a Macintosh apple (peeled and cored) and it tasted like dark meat turkey.

Your mom lets a pig roam inside her beautiful house? Is he housebroken?

And the ones that aren't taken for pets are very fragrant. :D

Tip for driving behind a livestock truck...
Stay on your Ps and Qs, and tailgate if unable to pass. If you're up close, it may be a sad view, but the trailing air stream will fly by over your head...and olfactories. ;)
