I set a new record for the drive from St. Louis to the family farm: just over 300 miles in just under 4.5 hrs. I filled the gas tank before starting and made the entire trip without stopping.

I thought my life couldn't get any worse.

My upstairs furnace is out. Broken. Kaput. Finished. Done.

Did you get a home owner's warranty when you bought the house?

I did, but I didn't renew it. I'm not interested in 8 service calls until I get the stupid furnace replaced. I've placed a call to a local HVAC contractor, and I'm prepared to buy a new system. Today, hopefully.
