I am really curious to see what K does to re-work the offense for the next several weeks until Kyrie returns. He did a great job when Boozer and Hurley got hurt. I'm gonna bet Seth at the point to see if he can become the player we heard about 2 years ago and was in practice last year. Dawkins and MP1 stay as the 6th and 7th men, playing a few more minutes than they have so far, fouls permitting, and Tyler starting to play 10 minutes a game or more, especially with the next 4 less challenging foes on the horizon.

Not good news. K was quoted after the game saying he could be out for the year. Sounds like a serious case of "turf toe."
Insert multiple [expletives deleted] her.

The year as in the whole season or just the remainder of the calendar year?

Oh shit...the whole season.
Irving suffered ligament damage to the big toe on his right foot Saturday during the second half of Duke's 82-70 win over Butler at East Rutherford, N.J.

I wouldn't be having multiple [expletives deleted] here if it was for the rest of the year 'cuz we really would not miss him for SLU, Elon and unc-G. We should have an update in about 2 wks I'd guess with another MRI. I'm gonna change my sig to something like this: @$^*)(&%#!~<?+(*^@$%

Potentially some good news...

http://www.heraldsun.com/view/full_stor ... st_popular

Duke guard Kyrie Irving faces a complicated recovery from the toe injury that currently has him unavailable to the top-ranked Blue Devils.

Drederick Irving, Kyrie’s father, said Thursday the injury has been described to him as a “turf toe” on Kyrie’s right foot. The average healing time for that injury, which is a spraining of the big toe joint, is three to four weeks.

Currently, Drederick Irving said, the doctors have told him a full diagnosis of Kyrie’s toe can’t be completed until the swelling subsides.

Keep the vibes coming!

So with only knowing he got placed in a hard cast, anybody have any opinions on what that means for a return? I, being part of the sunshine and lollipops parade, think it's a good thing. Completely immobilize it and allow it to heal in the cast, rather than risk something happening when the boot is off. Plus, why put a cast on if he's likely going to need surgery?

I got a PM tonight from one of my orthopedic surgical colleagues and he also thought it was a good sign. He said if surgery was planned, it would not have been casted. He also had one of his posts deleted OY that discussed foot/toe injuries. No PM, no explanation. He doesn't think he'll be posting there anymore.

I exchanged a few messages with -jk and he was very good about investigating the issue, restoring the post and apologizing about it. I told him he was a good guy, a gentleman and a scholar, no matter what Ozzie said about him (LOL), just like you, Bob. He said maybe Ozzie is right :)) =)) .

He did, and I did! BTW, as devildeac said, they gave me a good explanation for the deletion.... Had not intended to never post there again, and I have since.
