Coach and the Quest for 903
Throaty has a most excellent post/analysis OY - the really short version is after Princeton here are the D1 total wins standings.
Smith is obviously in reach in the near term...a great season and a run deep into the tourney and he can pass Knight...perfect storm is K gets win 903 in April. On a Monday. In Houston...
1) RMK 902
2) Smith 879
3) Rupp 876
4) Krzyzewski 869

All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Yea, wouldn't that be sweet. A few (but not too many, of course) agonizing losses during the regular season (NOT to unc, of course, and then 10 straight wins in mid/late March and early April to finish with 35 Ws. Again.windsor wrote:Throaty has a most excellent post/analysis OY - the really short version is after Princeton here are the D1 total wins standings.

This is a cool article.
http://msn.foxsports.com/collegebasketb ... vel-032411The question isn’t how Krzyzewski — with players like Kyle Singler, Nolan Smith and Kyrie Irving — got here this March. It’s how he keeps returning. This is his 31st season as the head coach in Durham, and I don’t care how much you love hating Duke or whether the rich kids at Cameron really do deserve your enmity. In an age where collegiate corruption seems the norm, Krzyzewski’s career should be recognized for the spectacular anomaly it is.

Interesting rumor about Purdue considering RMK. That's one we never figured on. It would sure make the K's quest more exciting!

Are we playing in Maui next year? Will the record fall in Maui?
