Re: LTE 2.0
I got a little sticker, which was the envy of my coworkers. Henry County gave out stickers the size of a small flag.
I can take stickers or leave them.

Re: LTE 2.0
I pass on the stickers. I usually vote at the end of the day and go home so there is no one to see the sticker. The poll workers keep trying to insist I take one. I just run away.

Re: LTE 2.0
They didn't have any stickers at my polling place, unfortunately. My kids LOVE to wear them, and it looks funny to see a 5 year old boy with an "I VOTED" sticker.

Re: LTE 2.0
Capt, I totally respect yours (and your dad's) point of view here, but when it comes to voting, I have no problems in making a big to-do.captmojo wrote:The 'no sticker' thing comes down from my Dad. Whenever he made a contribution toward anything, he wasn't so willing to make a big to-do about it. He took this attitude from his time in the Army Air Corp through to the time he passed away. He would explain it as 1) the military/ We all did what we had to do. 2) any offering to the church/ Our church had so many people that would wear their contributions on their sleeves as a badge of honor that they belived should present them with a more special place, in Heaven and on Earth, that it really turned him off. His attitude there was that his contributions were something he felt compelled to do from the goodness of his heart and they were a matter to be celebrated by only himself and God. He didn't feel the need to make others feel that they might be any less of a person for possibly not being able to do more. Others in the church had brass plaques hammered onto the end of pews and painted onto stained-glass windows. He didn't think they were there for the glory of the right beings.
My fingers are tired.
Nothing personal against anyone else here. If the sticker is your thing...go for it. It just isn't mine.
Everyone should do it, it's not only your right as a citizen (something others have fought and died for), it's your responsibility. I hope everyone here voted!

I voted (early..but not often ) The one thing I miss about vote by mail is my sticker. I want my sticker.
The only election I've missed since I was old enough to vote I was in the hopsital.

Some of y'all have to move up here to Canada so that I can run into you in random places.

The stretch run of today's Breeder's Cup Classic was amazing. Zenyatta, the mare, went for 20 in a row. Unfortunately, I can't find a video link that doesn't give away who won.
