Several of the wives at the Halloween party I went to Friday night at the Club went as Lake Trash, not to be confused with Trailer Trash . They wore large black plastic bags adorned with leaves, plastic utensils, beer and soda cans, etc. (The Country Club of Johnston County sits next to Holt Lake.)

YAY! We just had our first set of Trick or Treaters! They were so little and cute!

30 kids and 2 dogs so far. We were nattily attired in matching skull and crossbones T-shirts but with the chill I am now wearing a Duke sweatshirt with the Blue Devil in the front, and my devil horns (thanks, Sheree!)

I will be very surprised if I even get one kid...but I got candy just in case. That kid better hurry up, it's disappearing fast.

New rule at our house: If the Trick or Treater is taller than Christian, the kid only gets 1 piece of candy. Shorter, cuter kids get lots of candy. Candy grubbing teenage losers get cross examined at the door.

I know exactly how you feel.
We haven't had any come here for the last 5 or 6 years and we live in an accessable neighborhood. I've got lights on. Got lighted scary accessories all along the entryway. It's not a long spooky driveway. I'm givin' about 10 more minutes and then the lights go out. I can't wait all night. What's wrong with kids today? We used to start about an hoour before dark and wouldn't quit until around 10.

Cute little clown just asked, "Can I have Skittles instead of the chocolate bars?" Silly me! I was handing out the yummy stuff, and the kid wanted Skittles instead.

Smithfield declared Saturday night as our night for trickrtreatin. I bought a bag of 120 small bars of good stuff I like - Almond Joys, Reeses Cups, Kit Kat Bars, Whoppers and Hershey Bars. We made 20 little bags of 3 of the above, and waited. We're still waiting for the first kid, and it's Sunday night. Ymm!
