Indeed. Do you go to a lot of ECU games? And how long have you been in Greenville? I wish we'd been internet friends back then. I sure was bored for much of my time there.
I landed in Greenville on June 18, 2008. I haven't been here a year yet.
I don't go to any ECU games. But my goodness, this sure is a company town. Everyone here bleeds purple and gold.

Well that makes me feel a little better. I left (rather happily, I must admit) in May 2007. But then again, it sucks that we missed each other.
And yes, it is for sure a company town. But hey, it's pretty much the only gig in town.
You should check out a game sometime. They're really a lot of fun.
Any other favorite spots around Greenville? I could probably dredge up a recommendation or two, although my world consisted heavily of my apartment, the grocery store, campus, and about 4 other places.

Work, my mom's house, church, TJ Maxx, Ross Dress For Less, Target, my kid's school. . . I lead a boring life here.
Congrats on hitting 500, Wilson.

Why, thank you.
Are you a burger fan? Andy's and Cubbie's both do a good one.
Everyone will tell you that B's Barbecue (on, I shit you not, B's Barbecue Road) is the best in the world, but I think Bill Ellis Barbecue in Wilson (what a town!
) is better.
And the next time you're looking for a little something for clbunchofnumbers (or someone else who might appreciate it), Coffman's on Red Banks Road darn well might be the best men's store in the world.

That is really exciting about ECU!
A few of the current ECU baseball players attended my high school last year, so ECU baseball is a pretty big deal around here (I prefer Duke, but each to his own).
I wish I had seen it!

Oh, don't get me wrong...I prefer Duke, too. But as I said, Duke's season is over now, and I have an ECU degree too, so go Pirates!

Yup, Cubbies and Andy's are faves.
Read my B's BBQ review in the Duke v. Kentucky thread on the EKB. Ozzie and I had lunch there one rainy day this past winter.
Coffman's is across the street from my office. I've never been there.

Dave opens tonight with, "Welcome to the Late Show. I'm Dave Letterman. I knocked off another competitor!"
Fantastic.

You mean you want me to go over
there? Well, I guess...
And seriously, if you ever need something nice for a guy in your life, Coffman's is a great place to start. My dad and I nearly wet ourselves every time we went there.

Yup. Messing on FB and losing at Scrabble. Surprise.
You don't walk the plank in NJ. You just disappear. Forever.

Poor Walt can't understand why he didn't get invited to sleep with me again tonight. I can hear his sweet little toenails scraping outside my door. I'm about to cave.

Send the invite. But just go in knowing you'll probably set your high score.

Yeah, I caved. He's here now.
And this post puts me ahead of Tilly. That mostly means I've spent
way too much time in here today.
Although I did manage to knock out two relatively long books.
Gotta go get more at the library in the morning, because I'm out again.
