Did you bring back souvenirs? What was the first real food you had (airport food doesn't count)? How long do you get to stay in the Land of the Lost before you ship off for some other destination?

Jewelry for the women. A new dog collar for Georgia.

First food: Louisville's "Lynn's Paradise Cafe," which was featured on "Throwdown with Bobby Flay." Killer frittata and french toast.

Staying in Kentucky for a bit (two conferences in the next month and a half).

First real eggs in ages (about 4 months), 10 days without beef, and virtually no dairy as well... yeah, I went with the real stuff.

Getting back into the whole grain options again. Hard to find whole grain stuff in Kyoto.
