I went with 8 because it is Cal Ripken's number. Also, it is divisible by 4, and Duke has FOUR Nat. Championships.

Why isn't PI a valid response?

Perhaps if you had asked for INTEGER, I'd have voted for 9. After all, 9 is sort of like South America... it's tapered.
