McDonald's burgers suck

Not really shocking, but now the proof is in print. In a recent Consumer Reports poll, McD's tanked. 5 Guys' ranked best. (I've never eaten there, nor seen one, but I've heard lots about them.)

I personally agree that Wendy's burgers are the best of the "big boys". I generally agree with their list, though I would rate Five Guys higher than In-N-Out personally. And Fuddrucker's has gone to the birds. The last time I went there, I could SEE the filler in the burger. It's been a while since I've gone there because of that. Hopefully they've abandoned that practice. If they have, I'd rate them higher again. I've never eaten at Burgerville, Whataburger, or Back Yard Burger, but I've eaten at least once at each of the rest. I'd put Jack-In-The-Box under McDonald's if it was me.

I was just thinking that! Maybe they slack up a bit to the west. I've had Krystal's in Asheville...now there was a truly crappy burger. If I voted, I would have put it at the bottom..with a sub 5 vote.

My office is in North Hills right over the AT&T joint by 5 guys. I have to limit myself or I'd clog all my arteries. They also give you enough fries for two or three people.

McDonald's. I will say that once or twice a year, I do indulge in a Bic Mac value meal. Don't really like McDonald's burgers, except for the Big Mac. I find it quite the tasty treat every blue moon.

Seriously? Backyard Burgers ranked sixth?? And White Castle? I thought they were considered by most as the holy grail of burgers.
And one of these days I have gotta try the legends of 5 guys Burgers as well as In and Out Burgers.
If I were to vote, I'd write in the vote for Char Grill or maybe Flame Grill.

Move over 5 Guys. The new kid in town is Only Burger. He operates out of his truck around campus and at the Farmers' Market on Saturdays right now. Soon to open a brick and mortar on Shannon Road. Outstanding!

BTW, the BOGO coupon is only good in Wake County at participating McDs. There is one less than 2 miles from my house.

I think there is one at Southpoint mall. There is one in Chapel Hill and a couple in Cary also.
