Hambergers on a wood fire. Oven potatoes with onions, corn (frozen from our garden), lettuce and tomatoes from our garden. We are at our lake place. That makes anything we have even better.

Ymm, sounds tasty!ArkieDukie wrote:baked pork tenderloin (glaze made with equal parts honey, vinegar, and brown sugar with a smidge of ginger added), served with peach chutney, corn, and brussels sprouts.
We enjoyed blackened King Salmon, new potatoes, and steamed broccoli. And quick molten choco cake for dessert (split between us.)
SUPER easy recipe --
4 T. flour
4 T. sugar
2 T. cocoa
2 T. oil
2 T. water
Blend dry ingredients in a mug, stir in oil, then water. Microwave on high 1 min. Viola!

Four, wild-caught, Golden Oreo cookies.
Dinner was at 3:00. Actually I had a turkey and swiss on sour-dough bread.

Jason's Deli. Light menu, turkey pastrami, with fresh fruit and green tea with some Splenda mixed in.
I got my Droid X today and Jason's is next to the Verizon store, where they swapped all my info over from my old BlackBerry.

The veggies were single-serving steamer bags from Bird's Eye. I've tried the peas, corn, and brussels sprouts. All are good. Nothing added to them, so they're definitely healthy. Microwave for 90 sec and they're done.lawgrad91 wrote:That sounds Weight Watcher-friendly!ArkieDukie wrote:leftover roasted pork tenderloin with peach chutney, peas, brussels sprouts. Honest to God: Bird's Eye is one of the most underappreciated brands in existence. I LOVE Bird's Eye products!ArkieDukie wrote:The veggies were single-serving steamer bags from Bird's Eye. Re: What's for dinner?
Japanese eating experience here in Kyoto: So far, I feel safe in looking for maybe one thing... soba noodles. Not that I have eaten out yet or anything. Fortunately, I brought a bag of almonds. Can't find non-caffeinated tea.
Do you think it's a sin if I order sushi, but then not eat the rice (triglycerides) and nori (possible allergy issue)?
I am hoping that the food at the conference (starts Monday) will be good. Because so far, food looks like it will be a major issue: finding it, ordering it, and eating it.
Note to devildeac: Heartwise, I think basically I'll be safe if I avoid sushi, most beef, rice, sake, beer (can't find any ales), and non-soba noodles here. I can't really afford the sashimi. Umm... that doesn't leave much, except maybe some soba noodles (served with nothing), daily vitamins, and water.
