Best hot dog I've had in my life was the one I bought at the Statue of Liberty a couple of years ago. I'd love to know what brand they were.

I'd guess either Nathan's or Sabrettes.

Nathan's: Good, but very garlicky.

Sabrettes: Heaven.

I don't want to see this thread go in the direction of mayonnaise.
Mayo is beyond blasphemy.
I wouldn't touch the stuff with a 39 and a half foot pole.

Nathan's are sold in many supermarkets. Hebrew National is also quite common (and good). But I've never found Sabrettes in supermarkets since moving from New Jersey SOOOOOOOO many years ago.

I prefer to have ketchup, onions, cheese, mayo, and bacon bits. If I have leftover chili available I will have chili, bacon bits, and perhaps onions (depending on how many onions are in the chili itself).

I had some onion rings for lunch. Haven't had those in a lonnnnng time. They were tasty as hell! And yes, I had them with ketchup.
