I think 4K is a CTN milestone, probably making you Princess, Duchess or Czarina or something like that .CathyCA wrote:Is that a milestone?ArkieDukie wrote:With 7 more posts you'll be at 3300.CathyCA wrote:Wow! It looks like we'll have several milestones tonight.

The LTE will hit 24K before the weekend. That's a milestone. (and very nearly 10K over the original)CathyCA wrote:Is that a milestone?ArkieDukie wrote:With 7 more posts you'll be at 3300.CathyCA wrote:Wow! It looks like we'll have several milestones tonight.

Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.

Off to afternoon court. Today's docket includes the lady who chased another lady around the Walmart in a store-owned motorized wheelchair, and the guy who stole his girlfriend's car speakers and amp while she was in the Magistrate's Office taking out charges against him.

I had a GREAT morning in court.
I am happy to report that the Fifth Amendment is alive and well.

They do to me, also. Can we come watch you sometime? Perhaps you could find a way to accumulate the best of the upcoming weird cases so they all fall on the same day. Then we can come fill the peanut gallery and watch you try not to laugh.Jesus_hurley wrote:Those cases sound pretty entertaining to melawgrad91 wrote:Off to afternoon court. Re: LTE 2.0
Update: the girl with the stolen amp and speakers has made up with the amp and speaker thief. (Ain't love grand?)
The lady who chased the other woman around the Walmart in the motorized wheelchair represented herself, to her detriment. Her testimony was so bad the judge convicted her and sent her to jail BEFORE my sterling, well-thought-out cross-examination.
I wish I could plan for all the nuts to come to court on the same day. I would invite my friends to enjoy the excitement with me!
Maybe CathyCA and I could write a book together about all the nuts we've met professionally.

Is the criminal case against your client? I think I need more details as I just don't understand how a prosecutor could possibly think they could get away with this. Do they, present company excluded of course, really think other lawyers are that dumb?CathyCA wrote:The little part about no person shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself.TillyGalore wrote:Which part?CathyCA wrote:I had a GREAT morning in court.
