Damn, and I missed it, talking to my Mom. I saw him run on the field in a special teams situation, punt team or something.

Updated stats give him an assist as well, for a total of 3 tackles. One of the pregame reports called Rey a "tackling machine". :D

Wonder if they refer to any unc grads as "tackling dummies." :D

They would refer to Marvin Austin that way, but he may have made his last tackle for the year in South Beach....

"Watching" the Rams-Patriots game online. Thad started the second half. So far he's 7 for 9, 74 yards and a touchdown. :9f:

I just clicked my way to the box score on ESPN and started jumping up and down rapidly. Right now Thad is 11/14 for 120 yards and a touchdown. he did throw an interception, but that is not a huge deal. Since Thad got the reps as the second-string quarterback he might be on his way to a spot on the team.

GO THAD!

NFL channel has the game on right now. I think Thad came in to start the second half, or close after.
Second half won't be until midnight at least.

UM wow Thad played great! That was way fun to watch. He should have had 2 TD's, but for some reason they ruled his second with the runner after the catch OB. Damn ACC refs!

HOW MUCH WILL VINCENT REY (NOT MAUALUGA) FACTOR? Bengals undrafted free agent linebacker Vincent Rey is a 6-foot, 240-pound muscle of linebacking madness. He comes in with a great work ethic and a Duke career spent as a wrecking machine, recording 330 tackles -- including 28 tackles-for-loss -- during his three-year starting career. Dude has a nose for the football. His 13 preseason tackles ranks second behind Geno Atkins, most of which have come during passing plays and on special teams. He has largely impressed Marvin Lewis, who will have to debate how many linebackers he's going to take into the regular season.

Thad is putting pressure on the 3rd QB selection for the Rams.

And what Lewis, an undrafted rookie out of Duke, is doing is putting some heat on Null, the Rams' sixth-round draft pick a year ago who because of injuries wound up starting the final four games of the 2009 season.
"That's a good battle going on," coach Steve Spagnuolo said. "We're going to need another game to let it play out. I thought Thad did a nice job to help himself" in the Rams' 36-35 victory at New England on Thursday.

Thad will be playing tonight in the last preseason game. It's at 8 on channel 384 if you have DirecTV.

Keith Null was looking really good until he threw in between two defenders for an INT. Bradford started for one series and a TD. Thinking Thad will be up in the second.

I hate to pull against anyone (tarholes excepted), but I'm glad to hear from you about the INT. When I saw the gamecast on ESPN.com, Null was 5 for 5.
