No need to kvetch... just yet.
However, I believe someone needs to tell Wilson that his absence is starting to upset the karma that has kept the Braves in 1st. Time for him to re-surface on CTN.
Agreed. Word!
Braves will turn it ALL around TONIGHT! Tonight is the beginning of a seven game win streak!
Go BRAVES!
(((((((((((((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))))))))))))))
By the way, according to the AJC, Tommy Hanson is 0-2 in his last three starts with one no-decision. His E.R.A. during that winless stretch? 1.33 Unbelievable.

After mutual agreement amongst the mods, this thread has been merged with the existing Braves' threads...only because there already is one. A shadow copy will be left in place.

Well...a shadow copy was supposed to be left in place...maybe that only happens when a thread is moved to a different forum.

The Phillies have some multi-million dollar pitcher going today. So do the Braves... Lowe.

Indeed. Braves fans need to settle down a bit and quit with the panic and knee-jerk reactions. It's a long season and the Braves have good pitching. You have to have faith, and believe in your team! No negativity!
Go Braves!

I quit.
Two errors, one hit batsman in the ninth with a one-run lead.
Walking the lead-off runner three innings in a row late in the game and into extra innings.
They suck. They are not deserving of first place.
Go Phillies!

I think the Braves' slide is my fault. Just before they stopped hitting, I told Bruce I was sick of having the Orioles kick me in the teeth and any other body parts they could find, and maybe I'd just start watching the Braves....

DD, I would seriously consider myself the kiss of death, and root for the Yankees (sorry, Ozzie) but since my university hoisted 2 banners this year and my NFL team took home the Lombardi trophy I don't think I can be blamed for this one.

OK. I'd like that statement stricken from the record, please, your honor.

Lefty pitcher Mike Minor was called up from AAA-Gwinnett, and will start tomorrow versus the Mets. He had 5 starts at Gwinnett.
Somehow, I don't think the Phils are relying on AAA starting pitchers.

Not to do with the Braves but the Blue Jays called up a catcher who made his major league debut yesterday and he ended up hitting two homers, a single, and a double. He damned near hit for the cycle in his first ever big league game.
And then today they had a pitcher lose his bid for a no-hitter with two out in the ninth (on two separate occassions Dave Steib lost a no-hitter and a perfect game with two out and two strikes in the ninth).
