I (heart) this Emoticon
You know how many have come to use as the standard for the now infamous, and effective CNT Vibes?
Well, lately I've really taken a likeing to this guy:
He/she is Duke Blue and just radiates excitement. I think we should 1) Give it a name and 2) Define it's "mission" or "true meaning" in the context of CTN and Duke sports.
Any ideas?

Re: I (heart) this Emoticon
Is that it's official name? Can we change it? "Sapphire" sounds like someone I may see "perform" at the Pink Pony in Atlanta.CameronBornAndBred wrote:Her / his name is Sapphire.EarlJam wrote:You know how many have come to use as the standard for the now infamous, and effective CNT Vibes?

Sounds like a good poll question to me.EarlJam wrote:Is that it's official name? Can we change it? Yea, but to have a poll, you need good ideas first. You need a name nomination thread before you can have a poll about it, like I did with my kids' names.
He kind of reminds me of the blue-painted crazies bouncing before the jump ball. We could call him "whoop!" or whatever that noise they make/we made in CIS. Or maybe "whoopie".

Re: I (heart) this Emoticon
I believe the derivation of SAPPHIRE was a dig at the sapphire discussion we had on my 2010 Madagascar thread. You'll recall that some folks insisted I buy some sapphires for ILJ, and if ILJ refused them, a number of folks were lining up to buy them off me.bjornolf wrote:Yea, but to have a poll, you need good ideas first. I prefer the name "whoop" over the name "whoopie". Whoopie Goldberg jumped the shark a long time ago and ever since, I don't like that name.bjornolf wrote:Yea, but to have a poll, you need good ideas first. I know. Whoopie just sounded more like a name than Whoop. Maybe we could call it Whoopi or Whoopey or Whoooooopey!

They DO remind one of the Crazies bouncing before the jump ball. That nails it on the head! So maybe this guy, girl, thing could mean, "bursting with excitement....just can't wait........let's get this thing started!" Something along those line.
Whooper for a name?
Hmmmm. That's not quite "it."

I like whoopwhoop. Kind of like when they start going "whoop...whoop...whoop...whoop, whoop, whoopwhoopwhoopwhoopwhoopwhoop...etc."DukieInKansas wrote:You could name it Woop Woop. P.S. I also like CB&B's suggestion of keeping the actual .GIF file name. It fits too.

I would offer to take you if ILJ didn't want you, but I think she wouldn't like that offer so much.Lavabe wrote:Sapphire gets my vote!!
